AIDA 2021 AGM

The 2021 AIDA Annual General Meeting will be held at 3 pm on Saturday 10th April, 2021, at the Aireys Inlet Community Hall. Hear about the year’s activities, nominate for the committee, pay your 2021 subscription or join AIDA.

Last year because of COVID-19 restrictions our AGM was held very successfully by Zoom. We have explored having this year’s meeting at the Aireys Hall with the option for members who cannot attend in person to join using Zoom if they wish. Unfortunately, Zoom won’t work in the hall so the AGM will be in-person only in the hall.

Our Mayor and Anglesea Ward Councillor, Libby Stapleton, our other Anglesea Ward Councillor, Mike Bodsworth, our Lorne Ward Councillor, Gary Allen, and the acting Surf Coast Shire Shire CEO will provide the meeting with an update on Council’s plans relevant to our area.

Following the AGM, Aireys resident Libby Mears, Chair of the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority will outline the new authority’s immediate and future plans for the Great Ocean Road. We are looking forward to this early indication about how the Authority will approach its task of protecting the road’s environment and local communities. We will be particularly interested in its future plans for tourism along the road.

The committee hopes to see many of you at the meeting and encourages you to attend. We are providing members who cannot attend the opportunity to be involved via a proxy vote, for which the form is attached AIDA AGM 2021 Proxy Form  To inform your votes links are provided to access the AIDA 2020 Annual Financial Report and the AIDA AGM 30MAY2020 MINUTES of our last AGM. Please either scan or photograph your completed proxy form and email it to aireysinletdistrict@gmail.com or post it to PO Box 359, Aireys Inlet, Vic 3231. Any questions you would like to have raised for you during the meeting can be sent prior to the meeting to the addresses above or attached to your completed Proxy form.

If you are interested in discussing the possibility of nominating to join the Committee, please contact our President Charlotte Allen at aireysinletdistrict@gmail.com . The Nomination Form can be accessed here AIDA Nomination form 2021.

All are welcome!
