Community Support Network

Updated 14 May 2020:

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy in these challenging times. There will be some difficult days ahead for all of us, but the AIDA committee will do everything it can to keep you informed about what is happening in our community. In particular we will be reporting on Zoom meetings of a network of people representing our community who come together regularly to raise and discuss any issues that might emerge. Updates on the meetings of the Community Zoom Network are included in AIDA’s recent email messages to members (for copies see links at the end of this post).

The Surf Coast Shire has established a Community Support Team to help its communities through the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The team will be working with communities helping them address issues at a local level, promote wellbeing and build resilience during and after this crisis.

Lynne Hume and Lauren Watt will be working across Anglesea and Aireys Inlet to Lorne. Lynne and Lauren can be contacted by phone or email: Lynne Hume 0447 333 775 lhume@surfcoast.vic.gov.au Lauren Watt 0407 879 048 lwatt@surfcoast.vic.gov.au  We encourage anyone who has an issue they think Lynne or Lauren can help with to get in touch with them.

Surf Coast Shire Community Zoom network – Our Ward Councillors, Margot Smith and Tony Revell, together with Lynne and Lauren have set up a network of people representing our community to meet regularly to raise and discuss any issues that might emerge.
