Other archives
Those interested in the history of Aireys Inlet and District will find abundant material in the Geelong Heritage Centre and the Anglesea Historical Society.
Another particularly rich collection is the papers of Dewar Wilson Goode, held by the State Library of Victoria. The records note that “Goode was a prominent pastoralist and conservationist who played a considerable role in soil conservation and management of farming land in Australia. He formed the Lorne Planning and Preservation League (National Trust) and later the Otways Committee (CCV), and was involved in coastal and recreational planning for decades through the Academy of Science, ACF, National Trust, TCPA and National Parks Service.“
Series 15 of these papers concern the Otway Ranges. See www.austehc.unimelb.edu.au
