The Fairhaven Surf Lifesaving Club (click here for website) provides a patrolled swimming area on summer weekends and public holidays, and this is the only sensible choice for all but strong and experienced swimmers and for all visitors new to the area.
The Club also runs Nippers Programs – from late December to early January – wonderful fun and an excellent water safety education for 5 to 14 year olds and a great boon for their parents. The Clubhouse has been totally rebuilt into “a model surf clubhouse, adhering to all the guidelines of Life Saving Victoria’s new “Clubhouse of the Future“”, and will provide facilities for local community groups.
