Welcome to our website!

AIDA is a voluntary organisation devoted to preserving the natural environment and character of the coastal strip that lies between Eastern View and Urquhart Bluff on the ‘Surf Coast’ of south eastern Australia. AIDA members include ratepayers, residents, their families and others who share a love of our district. Our communities lie along the Great Ocean Road, nestled between the ocean and the hinterland. Urquhart Bluff is not marked, but it lies just to the right of the “B100” sign near the top right of the image.

Our website is a work in progress – the pages will evolve over time and new posts will provide up-to-date information about AIDA’s activities. We hope you will visit often and we encourage your feedback.

AIDA would like to acknowledge the assistance of many people in developing and maintaining our website: in particular Susanna Duffy – http://www.smoothstuff.com/ – who set it up and provided much needed training and support to Mary-Jane Gething, who manages the site with the assistance of Len Kelly and Nan McNab. AIDA committee members have provided most of the text and related images presented on the site. Perry Gaylard has generously supplied the images for the “passing parade” on our home page (these and many other beautiful photographs of our area are shown on Perry’s own website at http://www.aireys-inlet.net.au/scenery.html. His photos are available for purchase through http://www.gaylardgraphics.com.au).
