Stars in the sky

AIDA is working towards having our district accredited as a Dark Sky place, and needs community engagement and support.

You can learn how stargazing and looking to the night sky boosts mental health and wellbeing in this article and you can also hear a number of people who experienced a lift in mood when they got out under the stars in this podcast.

We also need to consider the impact of our garden lights and outdoor lighting on native animals. Here’s how three species handle artificial light – a glider, a moth and a magpie.
